TransDevelopment served as the Design-Build Contractor for the newest US Vehicle Processing Center, located in Mobile, Alabama. The Alabama State Port Authority and AutoMOBILE International Terminal partnered for the development of the all-new finished vehicle terminal, including approximately 19 acres of paved yard areas, rail ramp and a dedicated Ro-Ro vessel berth.
The Vehicle Processing Center includes 40,000 square feet of state-of-the-art facilities, including air-conditioned line processing and workshop spaces for 32 vehicles, EV charging stations, automatic and hand car washes, a fully-equipped body shop with paint booth and prep stations and a parts room. Administration and extensive employee amenity areas are also included in the project, along with a sperate building for haulaway trucking operations and a fuel island. TDG served as the Design-Build subcontractor to RT Milord and Company worked closely with GA West & CO., Inc.
