TransDevelopment México broke ground in late 2018 on the $25M rail access and logistics facilities for Toyota’s newest assembly plant in the State of Guanajuato, Mexico. The project supports the export logistics for the Tacoma production, and provides connections to the Kansas City Southern de México and Ferromex, along with outbound haulaway facilities.

The project includes Development Management for a 13-hectare marshaling yard, accessorization building, and administration building. TransDevelopment was responsible for the turnkey planning, design, engineering, contracting, procurement, and commissioning of the rail and in-plant rail and outbound logistics facilities. The project includes 14.5 kilometers of new trackwork, all external rail connections, a bridge crossing of the Rio Querétaro, and 250,000 cubic meters of earthwork.
